Sunflowers - Chapter 15

Can you believe that we are to chapter 15? Amazing!!! Tomorrow 'That Green Gentleman' premieres on Nokiausa.com...be sure to check that out! Don't forget unofficial FBR day on May 5th!!! Also I decided what i'm going to give Brendon when i meet him at the concert...ready for this...are you sure? well enjoy the story first!!!
***
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing too serious. But Brendon was broad sided by a car.” He never made it home?!
“Where is he?”
“We’re at the hospital in the emergency room. The ambulance pulled up about 15mins ago.”
“I’ll be right over.”
“See you then.” I hung up the phone and started to cry.
“Lys what’s wrong?” Amanda came to my aid.
“Brendon is in the hospital. Must go see him. Now.” I grabbed my keys and purse, my eyes blurry with the tears streaking down my face.
“You’re in no condition to drive.” she took the keys out of my hands and walked to my car. I stood on the porch staring at her. “You coming?” I nodded and got in the passengers seat. We arrived at the hospital 20mins later. Spencer gave me the biggest hug. I saw Ryan comfort Amanda.
“You want to go back and see him?” I nodded yes. Spencer took me back into the emergency room. It was all the way in the back. Room 23. I saw Jon sitting there and a laughing Brendon.
“Lys why the teary eyes?” he asked me.
“Your in the hospital.” I replied.
“It’s only a few scratches.”
“A few scratches?!” I exclaimed. “There has to be more! Or else you wouldn’t be here.” he beckoned me to hug him.
“Ssshh, there’s no reason to cry. Not over me. Please.” I tried to stop. Then the doctor came in. He explained that he suffered a mild concussion and that they wanted to monitor him over night. He should be fine to leave tomorrow. “See I told you there was no reason to worry. I’m fine.” he kissed my cheek. We waited with him until he received a room. 5648. Spencer, Jon, Ryan, Amanda, and I stopped at the cafĂ© before we headed to his room. And we still beat him. They rolled him in 5 minutes later. One by one did every one leave. Until it was just me and him.
“If I could stay the night I would.” I told him.
“Nah, I cannot allow that. You have your big day tomorrow.” he smiled. “You should go and get some rest. You want to look fresh.” I nodded. He kissed me. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” I kissed him again. “I’ll stop over on my way home from work.”
He nodded and I left. Amanda had left with Ryan and the fellows so it was just me and my trailblazer. When I arrived home it was 10. I ate a bowl of cereal and then changed into my pjs. It was 11 before my head rested on the pillow and I fell asleep.

I awoke to my phone vibrating. It was only way for me to hear an alarm. I disabled it and rolled out of bed. As I jumped in the shower I wondered how Brendon was doing. What was he thinking about? Me? I’m thinking of him. Well I can’t stop thinking about him! He was on my mind when I went to bed and when I woke up. Even in the shower - Lys, don’t think about it! I finished up in there and finished getting ready. I blew dry my hair and straightened it. I rummaged through my closet on what to wear. My grandmother’s voice boomed in my ear. “You should get your clothes ready the night before so you don’t have to worry about it in the morning.” I know, I know. I should have done that. But I was too worried about Brendon last night. “Excuses, excuses.” she’ll say. I decided on a nice black dress pant suit with a deep purple top for the first day attire. I look good! I did my make up, grabbed a nutrient-grain bar before heading out the door. I arrived 15mins early. This was to allow myself to become familiarized with the work place. I rode the elevator to the 15th story. I was directed to the chairmen’s office immediately. I opened the great wooden doors and half expected to see Jared sitting in the chair. It was not, however, but his father.
“Welcome, Ms. Trunzo.” he stood up and rounded his desk to shake my hand. Jared looks exactly like him. Definitely can tell were his good looks come from.
“Thank you, sir.” I shook his hand.
“Please, let me show you to your office.” he led me out of his office and toward the right. We passed the elevator and the front desk. He opened another door and it was like there was a whole new world. There were tons of little cubicles. People were popping their heads above to get a good look at the new girl - me! Mr. Ebbs took me to a cubicle that was near a window and in the middle of the room.
“There you go. Your first project is listed in the email. There is a staff meeting at 10:30. I will see you then.
“Thank you Mr. Ebbs.” he walked away swiftly back to his office. I sat down at my desk and logged on to the account. My first project was to promote this band. And guess who it was? You guessed it, Panic! At The Disco. But not just them the Decaydance label. What a coincidence? I started to get to work and didn’t glance at the clock until it read 10:15. Then I realized he didn’t tell me where the staff meeting was! Oh great! I stood up and glanced over the side of the cubicle. “Excuse me.” the women looked up. “Where is the staff meeting?”
“You must be the new girl.” she replied with a thick southern accent. “I’m Maggie Jackson.
“Alyssa Trunzo, please to meet you.”
“I’ll take you to the meeting just let me finish up here.” I saved my work as Maggie worked on the last bit of her project. “ So where are you from?”
“I’m from Pittsburgh but live in LA now.”
“Nice. I’m from Virginia.”
“I have relatives there.” we chatted as we walked up to the 16th floor. We walked into the conference room and my eyes immediately fell on Jared. He noticed me as well and walked up to greet me.
“Lyssa.” he hugged me. “How are you?”
“I’m well and yourself?”
“I’m fine. Hey we’ll chat after the meeting.” he walked back up the front of the room while Maggie and I sat down in the nearest seats.
“How do you know him?”
“He’s my boyfriend’s cousin.” I explained. The meeting started and I was introduced as the new girl. Applause for me! The meeting was done in no time. And it was lunch.
“You want to eat lunch with me?” Jared approached me like he said he would.
“Sure.” I followed him in to the break room.
“How’s work so far?” he asked me as he pulled lunch out of the fridge. Then he proceeded to sit at the table. I forgot to bring a lunch so I just sat down and started to chat with him. We had a lot of things in common. No wonder Brendon and him get along so well! “I should be heading back. Nice talking with you.” he told me and left to go back to his office.
“Same to you.” I headed back to my cubicle and finished up the day. “Bye Maggie, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Oh hey wait. Tomorrow is Tuesday and we usually get pizza. So if you want you can bring some money. “
“Ok thank you, I will.”
“See you then.” I nodded and traveled to the hospital. I missed my baby! I hope everything went smoothly, with the tests and all. I parked my car and traveled to his floor but entered his room, he was no where to be found. Must be in the bathroom. I checked his bathroom but there was no sign of him or life. I decided to ask a nurse. He might be at a test.
“Excuse me can you tell me what happened to Mr. Brendon Urie in room 5648?”
“He was discharged around 3, that’s all that I can give ma’am.” the young lady told me.
“Thank you.” She nodded and I walked away. Damn those boys for not calling me! Now I’ve wasted a trip out here! GRR to them! Since Brendon was ‘home’ I decided to go to my house and change out these work clothes. I pulled up, the house seemed quite. I looked at the time on my phone 5:55, hmm people should be home. As I unlocked the door and swung it open, I realized it was pitch black. I guess there is no home. I flicked on the lights.

See he's not injured that bad, but where could he have gone? stay tuned!!!

i'm sure you're ready for my idea now right? Right! I'm going to write brendon a songfic fanfic...you're asking yourself what a songfic fanfic is right? well i'll tell you! A songfic is when you write a story to lyrics...and you know what a fanfic is (example above!) So the lyrics I'm going to use are all Beatles lyrics...pretty stoked to get writing! Maybe I'll post that when it's done!

That's it for now!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Good Luck with finals and have a great summer!!!

When The Day Met The Night

My day was just made! Seventeen Magazine featured Brendon's summer playlist in the new issue. Here's the list of songs!
The Beach Boys "God Only Knows"
Bob Dylan "I Want you"
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers "An American Girl"
The Band "The Weight"
Creedence Clearwater Revival "Down On The Corner"
Rolling Stones "Mother's Little Helper"
Spoon "You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb"
The Killers "All These Things That I've Done"
Bright Eyes "From A Balance Beam"
Jackson 5 "I Want You Back"
Queen "Don't Stop Me Know"
Van Morrison "Brown Eyed Girl"
Oasis "Champagne Supernova"

So I know like half of them...and i need to download the other half, ha ha. BUT *my* song that I am in love with is Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" and to have that show up in his playlist makes me excited! Who would have thought he'd like that song? Seriously! You've gotta CCR "Down On The Corner" too, maybe if i get to meet him this summer i'll sing him a snipplet from the song, ha ha. Yea me and my horrid voice. I think not!

In other news! For those who don't have finals... TRL is having an unofficial Fueled By Ramen day where bands from the labels are going to talk about tours, albums, how bamboozle was, etc! Who will all be there you may ask? I'll tell you!!

Panic at the Disco
The Academy Is...
Gym Class Hereos
The Cab
Phantom Planet
The Hush Sound
Cobra Starship

Too bad i will only be able to watch the beginning because i have my Impromptu final. :( but i'm sure clips will be on youtube...if not i can attempt to tape it at home...but i would love to see it!!! we'll see what happens but be sure to tune in...it should be the best TRL show of the year! lol

Speaking of Fueled By Ramen, I'm sending in my resume to see if I can intern there over the summer. I'm already doing promotions for the label at the Panic concert in 19 days!!!! Maybe they have a spot for me for part of the summer.

On a sadder note, it's rumored that Keltie broke up with Ryan early saturday morning. I feel so bad for him. At the concert he asked the crowd if anyone was single and he replied, me too. so it has to be true. i just don't want him to get really really depressed again. Keltie did alot of things for him...i'd hate for him to do something stupid. Keep him in your prayers.

That's all i have for today! Remember to watch TRL May 5th! Keep Ryan in your prayers. Talk Thurs.

***
“No, geez I’m sorry.” I apologized to him.
“No worries.” we arrived at church and sat with my grandmother. Afterward we went back to her house for breakfast. She made bacon and French toast sticks. Poor Brendon.
“What time does your plane leave?” my gram asked. I turned to Brendon. He’s the one with all the info,
“It leaves at 4:15.”
“You packed?”
“Nope.”
“Well then you better get cracking.”
“True.” my mother agreed. So we said goodbye to my gram and went to see my other grandparents before heading home to pack. There we said goodbye to my dad and we headed for the airport around 2:00.
“Thank you so much for doing this for me. I really missed my family and appreciated it.”
“So not a problem.” As we waited we made out a little.
“Get a room!” we heard from passer-bys. But it wasn’t just any one; it was Jordan again. How dare he follow me out here! I followed him and slapped him on his arm.
“Ow, what was that for?”
“Following me out here! And screaming that!”
“I’m sorry it was funny and I work out here.” Oh wow. Didn’t know that.
“So why are you with him? You know I’m available.”
“Yes, but I’m living in LA. I’ll see you in another four years.” with that I walked away- back to my Brendon. Soon our plane was home and it was 4-o-clock in LA. We found Brendon’s car in the lot and headed to my place. He carried my luggage in for me.
“Thank you.” I kissed him.
“Lyssa!” Amanda called from the living room. She ran over and gave me a hug. “I’ve missed you so much.”
“Lyssa.” I heard someone whisper at the top of the stairs. It was Kay. She gave me a hug too.
“Hey you!” that was from Kristan in the kitchen. She was on the phone and continued talking.
“I’ve missed you all too! But being home was nice. You’ll never guess who I ran into.” they looked blankly at me. “Jordan.” they gasped. “He asked me why I was dating Brendon when he’s available.”
“He did what?” oops. I forgot Brendon was still standing there. “What did you say?”
“That he was there and I was in LA. Then I’d see him in another four years.”
“Ouch.” commented Kay.
“Brendon, I love you. No old boyfriends or new guys could take your place.” he kissed me.
“Good luck on your first day of work tomorrow. I’ll call you later.” we kissed a little longer before he made his way home.
“What’s been happening here?” I asked and they sat me on the couch. Kristan was still on the phone in the kitchen. Amanda went first.
“Ryan and I have gone out on Friday and Saturday!” she exclaimed. “He is so sweet and considerate. Friday night he took me to see The Holiday. Tear-jerker. Then Saturday, he cooked me dinner and sang love songs to me. “
“Aww how sweet.” I commented then turned my attention to Kayla.
“Jon took me out on Friday to see go ice skating.”
“Brendon and I did at the PPG place.” I intervened. “Sorry.”
“It’s ok. Then Saturday he took me to a wrestling match. I love him.”
“I’m so glad that yinz had a great time! Do you know how Sis’ date went with Spencer?”
“You should ask her yourself.” I shrugged and picked up my cell phone to dial her number.
“Hello.”
“Hey Sis!”
“OMG! Sis! Spencer asked me to be his girlfriend!” she squealed into the phone.
“That’s great! I’m so happy for you!”
“We should go on a double date.” She suggested.
“Ok. Let me know!”
“Ok, he was such a gentlemen like you told me so romantic too. He took me to this little pizza shop where you can sit and watch them make the pizza. Then he took me for a carriage ride around the city. It was a gorgeous site!”
“Wow that is sweet.”
“And today he came over with a rose we watched ‘The Notebook’. I cried on his shoulder.”
“Aww Sis. I think you’ve found the man for you.”
“Thanks to you!”
“Thanks.”
“Hey, good luck on your first day tomorrow!”
“Thank you very much!”
“I’ll call you sometime tomorrow about the time and date.”
“Ok. Chat then!” we hung up the phone and I turned to my girls. They decided to watch a movie. “Looks like everyone had a romantic weekend.”
“Yea.” agreed Kristan. Her eyes were glued to the TV.
“I’m going to make something to eat. Anyone what anything?” they nodded no. I made my self some dinner and joined them in there movie. It was ‘Cars’ Such a cute movie! I love the part where they go tractor tipping! It was about 7-o-clock when my phone rang. It was Brendon! Yay!
“ Hey sexy.” I answered.
“Hi.” that wasn’t Brendon. “Lys its Spencer. There’s been a little accident.” What?!
***
Sorry for all the cliffhangers but you know you love me! Have a great weekend! Talk to you soon. Lator gator!

From a Mountain in the Middle of the Cabins

Happy voting day!! Everyone is loving the tour so far. I've seen some great photo's but can't seem to bring my self to watch the videos yet. But I've the set list is only 14 songs... which kinda sucks. First tour they've had in over a year, think it'd be longer. I'm just upset that they are not playing When The Day Met The Night. I love that song!
Non concert news. the new music video is due out may 2nd! woot! can't wait for that it's for "That Green Gentlemen." and here's a little behind the scenes look.

May 2nd cannot come any sooner! Neither can May 17th! Only 25 days until I see Panic! I'm sad...Brendon has a girlfriend. But who could blame him he's a 21 year old growing boy! I'm just happy for him! I did friend him on facebook and this is how i know. I'm contemplating on weather to message him and ask him to read my story, yes the one i'm sharing with yinz. What's the worse that could happen? He could say he's too busy. Which is understandable. So we'll see.

I'll leave you with a couple pictures from the tour.

There ya go!!! don't you just love these guys! lol i'll talk to you all on thurs. oh ya i forget to mention that i got my driver's license. woot finally!!! i love it!! third time really is a charm!!! ttys!

Sunflowers - Chapter 13

Exactly ONE month till I'll be able to see Panic At The Disco!!! It's only been about a year and half since I last saw them. This show is going to be awesome. I'll be sure to share some pictures maybe a few fan videos on tues but for right now let's get on with the story!!!
***
“Brendon! He’s just joking. Calm down.” I shot him a look to kill. “I got a job with Sony!” everyone still looked stunned.
“That’s great.” my mom hugged me as did gram and dad.
“When do you start?” asked mom.
“On Monday.”
“That’s great!”
“Congrats.”
“Thank you.” We chit-chatted the rest of dinner.
“Well we’re headed down to Pittsburgh, I’ll be home later tonight.” we said goodbye to everyone and got into the rental car.
“Your parents and grandma are so nice. I really enjoyed their company.” Brendon confided in me.
“I’m glad.” I smiled. “please tell me you ice skate.”
“I ice skate.
“Good cause we are going ice skating.” I parked near the PPG place.
“Outside?” he asked me. Oh right he was from out west. Ice and hot weather don’t’ mix to great!
“Of course outside! It’s so much fun!.” I put my hat, scarf, and gloves on before stepping out of the vehicle. He followed. Look how cute he looks all bundled up! Just adorable. I laughed.
“What’s so funny?” he asked.
“Noting” I quickly replied. We walked up the entrance of the building paid for the time, and for our rental skates. Before you know it we were off laughing and falling down. Well he was at least. We talked the whole time. Despite the falling down and the comments and laughing and the other people - he held my hand! It was so romantic!
“I’m hungry.”
“You’re always hungry.” I told him and giggled. “let’s go get warmed up at an Eat N Park.”
“A where?”
“It’s a restaurant chain” We traded in for our normal shoes and headed back to the car. “Hmm. We can head back and eat that the waterfront. Or we can go to 51. I think 51 is closer!”
“You’re the driver.” he told me. I drove toward the restaurant.
“If any one recognizes you, we’ll leave. But not without chicken noodle soup!” I informed him. “I love their chicken noodle soup.” we were quickly seated and I was in luck. They had chicken noodle soup. “I normally just get the salad bar. But everything is great on the menu.”
“Hmm, salad bar sounds fine to me. But then this veggie burger is calling my name too.” he looked over the menu.
“Do you feel like walking?” I asked. He glanced up and shook his head no. “Then get your burger.” he’s takin one to many falls today so I figured he said nope.
“Hi may I - wow you look like Brendon from Panic! At the Disco.” Great! Not the best waitress to serve us! I glanced at Brendon to see what he wanted to do.
“Shhh, please don’t mention that I am here. I’m just trying to enjoy a dinner with my girlfriend.” he’s so sweet! And considerate.
“No problem.” she smiled. “ Just can I have your autograph when you’re finished.”
“Yes.”
“Great what can I get you to drink to start off?”
“A hot chocolate please.” I told her.
“Make that two.”
“Ok, I’ll be right back.”
“Phew that was close.” he grabbed my hand from across the table.
“I know. I guess your more famous than I thought.”
“Yea, me too!” we laughed she came back. And we ordered. I went to the salad bar only to discover a young lady replacing my place. “Speaking of my girlfriend, she’s right there.” the girl just got up and kissed him on the cheek and left.
“Hi sweetie. Who was that?” I asked when I sat down.
“Another fan, I’m sorry she kissed me. I’m not used to this.” he confided. “Girls never liked me in high school. This is all new to me.”
“That’s just the second one today. I really want this to work, Brendon.”
“I know. I want to as well. But just know that whatever any fan does to me, I’m coming home to you every night. And I love you. Not them. Well I love my fans but in a different way.”
“I understand.” I told him. We smiled and his burger came. After we finished eating, he gave our waitress his autograph and even took a picture. My boyfriend has to be the sweetest person alive. We headed back to my house, crawled in bed and talked about our futures. “With this new job I might have to travel.”
“I have an idea what kind of company my uncle runs and you don’t have to travel if you choose not to.”
“That’s the thing.” said I. “I want to travel. I love to travel. That’s why I choose my major.”
“But you’re going to be traveling to China.”
“That’s fine. I speak Chinese.”
“I’ll miss you.” he seriously stated.
“I’ll miss you too, but what’s it going to be like when you go on tour.”
“Simple. You’ll come with us.”
“My job?”
“My uncle won’t mind if you do your work on the road.”
“Brendon. We’ll see when the time comes.”
“Sounds like a plan.” he tightened his grip around me and ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’ blared over the radio.
“How lovely.” we both laughed and he sang the whole song to me. I soon fell asleep and awoke to my moms voice booming through my now opened door.
“Lys! Get Up! You have church.” was what she was saying. Brendon and I got up, dressed and left around 9:30.
“You know I’m a Mormon, right.”
***
I know people will correct me. Brendon is no longer a Mormon but his parents did practice the religion even if he doesn't today. that's all i'm going to say. hope everyone as a blessed week! Wish me luck on my drivers test, hopefully third time is a charm. Enjoy the weather talk to you soon!

Northern Downpour

Hey peeps!!! You know how they say things come in threes? Well yea why couldn't it work today! I got a hold of Erik from FBR about the promotion stuff and free ticket and he's sending it as we speak. Next My friend Erica asked me to go to the Steelers Draft Day! Where I can possibly meet Jeff Reed. Then they announced the meet and greet for May and my friends and I were not on it...hopefully they'll add more because it's different amounts for each concert. So yea. That was only two things...where is the third good thing?! lol

Remember how Panic was band of the week last week...MTV put together a little movie called 'American Valley.' It's quite amusing. Enjoy!

Happy 21st Birthday to Brendon!!! Woot! Go him!!!

That's all the news I have for right now...stay tuned for the next chapter of my story. Chat then!

***
“Let’s go to the square!” I told him and drove through.
“Wow this is cool!” he looked the brand name stores.
“If you want to burn a hole in your wallet take me to old navy.” we laughed.
“Sweet Dave and Busters.” Yep. Soon I found a parking space near Ulta and went in there. Brendon stopped me before I got out of the car. “Lys I don’t have a security guard.” he told me. Shit!
“That’s ok we don’t have to stay if you feel unsafe.”
“I don‘t, but it feels weird not having one.”
“If you’re not with the rest of the band, I highly doubt most people will approach. They might pass you off as a look-a-like because your in LA.” he was a bout to argue. “Trust me, I thought that way. Besides its Pittsburgh, what famous person would want to be here.” then an idea popped into my head. Ice skating.
“Works for me.” he replied. “But if things get out of hand. We’ll leave.”
“Hey Brendon I know were I am taking you on our date.”
“Where?”
“You’ll see.” I smiled at him. We got out of the car and I took his hand while walking into Ulta.
“I think Ryan shops here.” he looked around. “Well online.”
“We’ll ask him when we get back.” I moseyed over to the eye-shadows while Brendon looked at hair care.
“Hey Lys!” I looked up to see who was calling me. It was Lauren. She works here.
“Hey! How are you?” she gave me a hug.
“Great, long time no see.” she smiled.
“Home for the weekend and here with my boyfriend…he’s around somewhere.” we caught up on life. She showed me some amazing products. Soon after, Brendon joined me and I introduced them.
“You look exactly like that singer.” she said. He just smiled and shrugged. We then said our goodbyes and I bought my new make - up.
“That was close.” he commented once out of the store. I just nodded.
“Do you want to leave?” I questioned him.
“Nope I’m fine.” he intertwined our fingers as we crossed the street to Barnes and Nobles. Once inside he wouldn’t leave my side. We were looking through the magazines and this girl who looked a little younger than us, approached us.
“Hi, I’m a big fan. Can I have your autograph?” Brendon looked at me and I shrugged. It was up to him. A smirk appeared on his face.
“Who am I?”
“Brendon Urie, lead singer of Panic! At The Disco.” she swiftly replied.
“Who?”
“Come on! They are one of the most popular bands now.” she continued. Brendon stared at her blankly. “Oh my God, I’m sorry I thought you were him! My apologies.” she left as fast as she came. Brendon and I bust a gut laughing! He’s so unpredictable. That’s why I love him. I looked at my cellphone for the time.
“You buying anything?”
“Nope. You?”
“Not this time. Let’s go then.” As we were about to cross the street to get to the car, another fan asked us for Brendon’s autograph. He obliged this time. And even took a picture with the young lady.
“Who’s this?” Uh-oh. I didn’t want to reply because I wasn’t sure if he wanted it known.
“This is my girlfriend, Alyssa.” ok so he does want it known. Yay!
“Bitch.” she said.
“Excuse me?” was my reply.
“Bitch, you stole my man. Now you’re going to pay.” Great! A psychotic fan! Just what we need. She pushed me. I was caught off guard, falling on my ass. Brendon turned to the girl.
“You need to learn some manners.”
“Come on. Why do you want to be that skanky bitch when you can have me?” she asked him. Ew!
“First off, she’s not a skanky bitch, second, I’d choose her over you any day, third, I love her. That’s why I choose her.” Brendon helped me up, leaving her stunned and we headed back to Glassport.
“I’m sorry about her.” he told me in the car.
“It’s ok.” I told him. “Something that I will need to get used to being a famous rockstar’s girlfriend.” I kissed him at the red light.
“I’m glad you understand.” I smiled. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. But I wanted to make this work. We pulled in front of the restaurant. We beat everyone, no duh! My mom’s always late. I walked in and was greeted by Joe, the owner, and my cousin, Brandon.
“Hey! How are you?” I asked him. He actually gave me a hug.
“I’m good and you?” I nodded.
“Not bad.”
“This your boyfriend?” he motioned toward Brendon.
“Yep, Brandon this is Brendon. Brendon my cousin Brandon. He’s the trips older brother.” Brendon shook his hand.
“It’s nice to meet you.”
“Same here. I’d love to stay and chat but I’ve gotta delivery to make. Take care of her.” Aww thanks Brandon! As soon as he walked out my parents and grandma walked in.
“Daddy!” I ran and gave him a hug.
“Hey pumpkin.”
“How are you?”
“Fine. And you?”
“Well, I want you to meet my boyfriend.” Brendon stepped foreword. “Daddy, this is Brendon; Brendon this is my dad.”
“Nice to meet you sir.” That looked like a firm handshake. Yay! Dad likes a guy with a firm handshake. Then sat down and order.
“I have great news!” They all shut up.
“We’re getting married!” Brendon blurted. Their faces dropped.

Cliffhangers! Gotta love them! Hope you have a great weekend. I get to spend the next 4 days with my best friend. So thrilled! I miss her so! Can't forget to wish Brendon Urie a happy 21st birthday! Woot! Go him! I will no longer be the same age as Brendon and Spencer, just Spencer...lol! Hope he has a great birthday! Talk to you later!

A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out

Hey all! I sitting here listening to my Panic cds and I realized my roommate has never heard Panic's first album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. So I happily played it for her. She didn't really understand why they had to have such long song titles like "There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey You Just Haven't figured it out yet." Or "Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off." She couldn't understand why songs couldn't be easy and simple, "Like I love you. And I'll love you forever." She's just stuck in her country love. Back to Panic! They are having a busy week.
First I want to congratulate them on making MTV's Band of the week! Just watch MTV all week long for clips and their songs being played during the commercials. It's great! I almost spazzed when I saw the first commercial.

There's one of the videos! Be sure to check them out on TRL 4/8 as well!
After four weeks of waiting! Panic appeared on SNL aka Saturday Night Live! Woot! I'm so proud of their 'Nine in the Afternoon" performance but not so much "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." Oh I let you see what I mean.

I am happy that Spencer did not wear black! But Ryan did. Just once I would love the whole band to be in color! Lol
Gotta love when the guys have free time and go into a bar…but not just any bar…Pete Wentz's of Fall Out Boy, Angels and Kings bar. Here's some of their mugshots!

Pretty humorous! Well that's all I have for today! Be sure to watch MTV all this week and TRL later today! I'll be back on thurs with another chapter update, till then!

We're So Starving!

Hey I told you I was going to have an amazing post! Are you ready for this?! I asked all my panic friends on the forums I belong to for their opinions on the new album!!! Here are the responses!!!

Zak, PA
I think the most important aspect of Pretty. Odd. is the fact that Panic(!) showed that they can break out of their techno/pop-punk/pop shell and sample many other genres-- and do so successfullly. Ross seemed to be trying to make the band more versatile in their style, and in doing so, is reminiscent of many other sounds, including the Beetles. He did so in a way that was refreshing, and gave me new reason to listen to Panic again (which is saying a lot, because I haven't listened to them much for a while now). The most surprising change to their style is the addition of Ross as a lead singer on some of the songs. While he's no Brendan Urie, his voice fits the style of his songs well.To me, this versatility is extremely important. I loved A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, but since it was lacking on versatility (at least in my opinion), it tended to get old after a while. Pretty. Odd. however seems to be different with every song, so I believe I will come back to listen to it more and more as time goes on

I think they have a changed a lot, but its for the best, because they sound more grown up now. There songs seem more like a band then before, before there songs had a technoish feel to it. I mean now they have acoustic songs "folkin' around" and all kinds of good stuff. What makes me sad that there songs dont have long names that have nothing to do with the songs, lol. All in all im just happy to hear new music from them :]
Oh and i like that not only Brendon sings, ryan does to!

In my opinion i could listen to it 24/7. It's such a big change from everything that is now on the radio. They've moved music into a new light and done the unexpected.
I think the vocals are amazing and Brendon's voice has grown. When he sings with Ryan you can clearly hear Ryan struggling under Brendon but hey the kid gave it a shot.
The lyrics are a puzzle but that just makes the album more appealing.
It's neutral and jazzed up all at the same time.
I'm proud :)

From what i listened to it sounded bad. They must think there the second coming of the Beatles or something, they should stick to what was a half decent record with a good songs the first time around instead of being something they are not.

This new cd shows that they have changed alot and I do remember Jon saying from AFYCSO in that dvd concert thing "we have a lot of young fans and we can't really do anything about it but when we write a new cd it will be entirely different because who wants to write the same cd over." I think that this CD might turn some of the "younger" fans down because they might have expected another CD to be like their other one. we can see that panic has grown up by the change of their style..its fantastic to hear some acoustic songs and ryan singing in one song! so over all I think that the people who didnt like AFYCSO will love Pretty Odd and the ones who loved AFYCSO might turn away from the band.

I like the album, but it's not comparable to AFYCSO because it's so different (in a good way).
The lyrics confuse me a lot though, they seem jumbled in a weird way.

Maybe I will be the 1000th person that compares it to The Beatles, but in my case, that's absolutely amazing. I'm 27 years old, and I've loved The Beatles since I remember. God knows I've seen tons of bands trying to nail the Beatles' sound and failing at it miserably. But Panic has nailed it, in my opinion. They sound great. It's an album that I can listen non-stop and not get tired of it. Plus, the fact of all of them singing, it's great. I love Fever too, but to me, Pretty.Odd. is WAY better.

"Pretty. Odd." has no resemblance or trace in musical style from "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" but it sure has brilliant tracks. Change is always something needed to strive and producing the same material for years will just bring a band's value down. Panic at the Disco's went up. "Pretty. Odd." show their maturity at all stops. Speaking of stops, at first listen, it may seem like the album has a lot of dead ends in some songs but they turn out to be joys. Ryan Ross bringing his vocal abilities to the album is a plus in this album. It really brings out the classic rock feel of the album. There's gains and there's losses in fans, but it all evens out.

I'll admit, I've been a huge fan since about a year ago, when I was first introduced to the catchy sounds and infectiously intelligent lyrics of A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Nonetheless, I was always most interested in this band due to their willingness to try most anything, and go against the grain and even their own fans' expectations; see their video for Build God, Then We'll Talk (not able to be shown on TV). They were always artists, though some fans clearly liked them more for their uber-fast-paced beats and techno sound than their simple originality- though it was part of that.

That said, they have lost none of their originality; in fact, I would have been entirely disappointed if they had done the same thing and had the same sound on their second album. Undoubtedly, this move will lose them some old fans, and gain them some new ones; assuming people who didn't like them before give them a chance. Still, I'm an example of a fan who love them for this move, and even some fans who liked their old music more than the Beatles will probably give this a try, and maybe even discover the classics of the sixties through it. I personally always adored the Beatles, and had compared them even months before the theme of this album was revealed.

Just like their old record, I'm having serious trouble deciding which tracks are favorites: The differences and genre-bending is amazing, so every track is really worth a listen: there's barely a genre they miss. Listen to "Folkin' Around" for some ironic country (title pretty much says it all, if you get the double entendre); Pas de Cheval has to be one of the catchiest songs I've ever heard on first listen; Northern Downpour is mellow pop, lyrically and musically gorgeous; That Green Gentleman, She's a Handsome Woman and Mad as Rabbits are fun and really representative of the band as a whole; Behind the Sea is probably one of my favorites, a somewhat indie, somewhat Beatles romp of excitement mixed with the fresh vocals of Ryan Ross; She Had the World is something like chamber music, if you believe it- beautiful, but perhaps a hard pill for some to swallow; When the Day Met the Night, The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know , From A Mountain In the Middle of the Cabins and Do You Know What I'm Seeing? all have thoughtful and extremely varying takes on halucinogenic songs of the 60s; the shorter songs, written by Brendon Urie, add pockets of interest to the album, making it complete and incredible. Nine in the Afternoon, as most know, is catchy and exciting as an introduction- but not necessarily indicitive of what is to come.

Overall- I doubt I could be happier. Leaves you wondering what will come next.

Ha ha ha sure! It was actually their new album that hooked me in, at first Panic at the Disco really wasn't my thing but after hearing 9 in the afternoon I really began to warm to them, now I'm just a straight out Panic addict.

As far as I see it this new album has been an amazing learning curve for the boys and has really shown just how much they have all grown up. The witty one liners have be thrown aside and the sharp manic sounds of the first album are somewhat a thing of their past. Whilst their last album was great this new album has a hell of a lot of potential to work with a far broader audience. Whilst commonly this new album has been linked to the beatles their poppy easy going new sound really is something all of their own. No one is making anything that sounds like this at the moment and that was an increadibly bold but smart thing to do. The tracks still have the showy dream filled feeling of the first album but now branch out into other areas such and questioning ones inner understanding but also simply the enjoyment of our current moments. There are still those moments that centre around romance but this time they are far less bitter and once again more understanding.

Instrumentally they have made a lot of ground work and not only do their new sounds reflect the pop scenes of the 60's and 70's but also some of the mellower bands of the the late 90's. Listening to them the other day I realized stylistically the bridges in several songs reflected the style of music perfectly that the Whitlams played.

All in all I think this is beyond what any of us could have hoped for and I am more than looking forwards to seeing what is in store for this amazing band in the future.

I'm not really a music connoisseur, but I do have a comment I'd like to leave in regards to the band's shift in sound:

I think it takes a real artist to not only delve into his own talents, creativity, and innovations, but also to take inspiration from other sources, especially past artists. Many artists can be immature and pretentious, thinking it unnecessary to learn from art history. And I think this applies to present day musicians just as much as it does to aspiring painters, sculptors, illustrators and the like.

But the Panic boys are way ahead of their peers. They had the raw talent to get them started, but refused to let themselves get pigeon-holed into one category. And beyond the talent, they have the maturity and humility to take from past musicians. They didn't regurgitate the Beatles but internalized that time period's sound, interpreted it, and then spat it back out with their own stamp on it.

Those boys are a real commodity. They're real artists. 1. They make music for their own pleasure and because music is hardwired into their very being. 2. They have the technical mastery (of a plethora of instruments), raw creativity, and innovation to make compelling and addictive songs. 3. They are proud to learn from past solutions made by past musicians.

And even if I personally like A Fever You Can't Sweat Out better, Pretty. Odd. is the quintessential example of what the art world needs more of.

I've beeen a fan of Panic at the Disco simce about mid 2005. When they released 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out', they were in their teens, AFYCSO was what they were going through at the time. Ryan was inspired from his Dad's condition, lyrically, they were having inernal problems within the band, with certan members. And they were trying to grow up. Now, 3 years later, Ryan, Spencer, Jon, & Brendon have grown up, they've gotten more perspective, and they've become wiser. 'Pretty.Odd.' is an example of their maturity, and i'm loving it. lol It's an amazing album with light popish melodies, and lyrics that are more upbeat, & sunny. And how Ryan has said, why should a band have to stick to one genre?

I absolutely love the new album! As cheesy as it might sound, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was nice to listen to when you wanted to feel powerful because there was just so much passion behind those angsty songs. However, I really feel that Pretty. Odd. contains just as much passion, only it's the kind of passion where you're just happy, and it makes you want to do nothing but listen some more! Don't even get me going on how much passion I hear in songs like Northern Downpour and She's a Handsome Woman. :)

I have to admit I didn't expect much of anything good from Panic's sophomore attempt - I was actually a massive fan of their first CD and couldn't see how they would match the quality of that, much less top it. Four tours on one album wasn't helping matters either. Thankfully they have proved me wrong with Pretty Odd. Although the Beatles and Dylan influences are strong (almost too strong), Panic manages to reinvent themselves in such a way that their sound remains fresh while still paying homage to their own musical heroes. "Nine In The Afternoon" and "That Green Gentleman" are instant hits, as is the unexpectedly adorable "Folkin' Around". I can't stop playing this album and I highly recommend it to both fans and non-fans of Panic.

Panic lost their "!" and that's evident in the CD. But I'm tired of reading all the BAD reviews for them on napster and iTunes and everywhere. I must say I was disappointed in the slower paced melodies, but they're good. Their voices got stronger and they can actually sing. And I bet when they preform these songs, it'll sound better being that their performances with the last cd's songs were horrible. However, I think they did too drastic of a change leaving a lot to be desired from their original fan base. But if those people were real fans and not just followers, they should like the new CD for what it is. And it's still Panic. They've always been about being different, and that in mind, it sounds just like them. Different with odd words. The CD is pretty odd, esp for them, and they knew it. Those reviewers on the purchasing sites should keep that in mind. In other words.. I love it, even though it's slower. But if you make a mix CD of the 2 CDs it would be perfect.

Like they've said before, no band wants to write the same record again. A Fever was good, was what they were at that time and what they wanted to do by then. It's only natural to grow up and become more mature. Pretty. Odd. is what they want to do right now, and that's pretty much having fun. It's good to see that they still like what they do and that they're making exactly what they want, the way they want it. It takes a lot of guts to change so much from a record that had so much success and not be worried about if it's going to sell as much. No every band has the courage to not play safe. Still, they managed to do it. It's about what they like and doing exactly what you want. And as you can see, a lot of people like it too. "In the end, is all about the music."

absolutely love Pretty. Odd. It has very catchy and cheery songs, and they're the kind of songs that you love instantly. I wasn't so sure about Folkin' Around and I Have Friends In Holy Spaces when I first heard them, because I feel they are the two distinctive songs that they have really experimented with, but after a few listens they grew on me too. The great thing is how you can actually see the band progressing. They have improved so much as a live band, and you can actually tell that from these songs. They have a more natural feel to them than AFYCSO, and while I feel that album was just as good, you would listen to these two records for different reasons. AFYCSO was more of a way of therapy I guess, because you could relate with all the angst and bitterness (lol), and I just loved the edginess. With this album, they are more feel-good songs, and that's something that's lacking in the music world right now, and I'm glad someone finally brought it up. And I think the real reason why this album is such a success is because they've achieved their aim, as Ryan said, these songs do make you feel better after you've been through a horrible day, just in a different way than AFYCSO, because rather than the music 'sympathising' with you, it actually makes you feel better.

I love Pretty. Odd. and feel that it shows just how much they have grown as a band.
I like the idea of growing with a band; as I get older and my music tastes change, it's nice to be able to listen to the same band and still enjoy the music they write eventhough I don't necessarily like the music they played 2 years before.
While I still enjoy listening to AFYCSO, Pretty. Odd. is how I now see them and it's great how they remain to stand out from other bands musically, even with a completely different sound.

I love the album don't get me wrong. but some of the songs remind me of an old silent film, where they would play music with it so there would be sound. About 4 songs on this album weren't very interesting to me. at first. But I listened to them anyways, and now I'm starting to like them. It was a turn for the better I would have to say, they sound alot more grown up. Oh and shes a handsome woman is def my favorite.
and I'm lacie from NY just so ya know.

I listening them yeaterday, it is new time period of group and this very nice.

lol at those being the two songs brendon wrote by himself. they just don't fit with the album at all, poor kid
as an artist, i think it's nearly impossible not to be influenced by the past.because you start writing music because you like other music that came before you, you design because you liked other stuff that was done before you, painting, filmmaking etc. even if you aren't aware of it (which for sure most artist are), someone else, a critic somewhere, will point out your obvious influence.
also i think that they do for the most part regurgitate a very specific beatles era sound and aesthetic. like i would argue a band like Field Music internalizes the beatles and makes their own music from that, but panic, it feels far more like exact imitation. which didn't turn out to badly for them.
i think it's funny that you said they're a commodity then they're real artists. idk, that's most generally thought of as a contradiction. no one wants to be known first and foremost as a commodity if they're true musicians.
i'm not attacking you or anything, just starting a discussion instead of doing homework.
it's pretty sad but i'm basically over pretty.odd already except like three songs. it's been less than a month too :(

I love the new album a lot. Its a change from the usual music i listen to i have to say but still it seems to catch my attention. I loved AFYCSO too and i have to admit i still like it. These guys still amaze me with their very clever lyrics that you have to look up to know what they are singing. Ryan singing was also a nice treat on this record. And i think that their goal of not being put into genre is working i cant seem to pinpoint their type of music but i guess that's ok. My conclusion: as the days go on i grow to love their music more and more.

I honestly love it. The songs are so catchy and unique from anything anyone else is doing in the music industry today. It also helps that Brendon's voice is magical ;D

At first, I wasn't very impressed, infact I was disappointed. But you have to listen to it a few times before you really start to like it. And there are a few songs i automatically liked the first time I heard it. That Green Gentleman, Northern Downpuor, the piano knows something I don't know and A few I can't think of right now lol.

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out I listened to every day. It was a cd I could never get bored of. I didn't think that Panic could pull it off again, and for a while was actually nervous about how this album was going to be. Thankfully, they managed to write an album that not only is equal to the standard of music from the last album, but it may even beat it. Panic has mangaged to do something that I thought impossible. I love every track off Pretty.Odd., but my favorites have to be "That Green Gentlemen", "Behind the Sea", "Folkin Around", and "Mad As Rabbits." They're all insanely catchy and so much fun to listen to. It's music that, as time goes on, I seem to love more and more. It's been less than two weeks since the release and I'm already excited to see what comes next.

I think it's a good overall album. Not as "odd" as the first one, but 'That Green Gentleman', 'Mad as Rabbits' and 'She's a Handsome Woman' really stand out to me. Also, Ryan Ross. The last album he thought he was the new cancer and now he wants to reinvent love. You got to hand it to that kid. He keeps it... uh... interesting ;P

I find the transformation from emo/rock/vaudevillian style las vegas punk (whatever you want to call AFYCSO) to Pretty. Odd (psuedo-beatles inspired happy rock) fascinating. I'm also highly amused by the reaction of all the other fans, how some love the change, and how others are horrified.

Personally, I like Pretty. Odd. a lot, it just takes a while to accept the change, because AFYCSO was brilliant, and still is.

That's pretty amazing for a first week!!! I'm so proud of the boys!!!

So how bout we're flopping things this week! I'm working on an amazing post for thursday so don't fret but here's chapter 11!

“Lyssa!” Kaitlyn screamed and gave me a hug. She was 13 now, as were the two boys, Jacob and Jonathan.
“Hey Kaitlyn. How are you?”
“I’m good and you?”
“Hey Alyssa.”
“Hi Alyssa.” the boys greeted me and, surprisingly gave me a hug.
“Hey guys!” Kaitlyn tugged on my shirt. “Yes?”
“Is that Brendon from Panic! At The Disco?” she asked.
“That sure is and that’s my boyfriend.” She was in shock. Aww how cute! “You go talk to him. Don’t be shy.” She shook her head no.
“Uncle Rossie this is my boyfriend Brendon.”
“Nice to meet you.” Brendon shook his hand.
“You look familiar.” Kaitlyn ran over to her dad.
“He’s on my wall.”
“Oh your from Panic! At The Disco?”
“Yes I am, sir.” Ah! I love this man! “I bet you would like an autograph, right Kaitlyn?” she shook her head.
“And we want one too!”
“yea!” added Jonathan.
“That’s fine. Can I borrow a piece of paper?” and Pap threw him the tablet that was sitting on the table. “And a pen?” he throw him one too. “Thank you.” Tore off three pieces. He wrote To Kaitlyn, Thank you, love Brendon. And he wrote different ones to the boys.
“Group picture!” I exclaimed and took out my camera. The four posed. It was such a cute picture!. “I’ll send once I get back home.”
“Where you headed to now?”
“Taking Kaitlyn to dance and the boys to karate. Susan isn’t feeling well. And I just stopped for a cup of coffee.” my uncle responded.
“You can get it yourself.” she said as she served Brendon and me.
“Thanks grandma.”
“Can I have something?” Jacob asked.
“Sure sweetie what would you like?”
“No, you just ate a bowl of cereal.”
“You can give him a piece sausage.” and she handed him that.
“What’s it like being famous?” Jonathan asked Brendon. Cute! They talked about that while he ate.
“Is Uncle Deanie home?”
“Should be? Why you heading up there?”
“Was planning on it.”
“He should be.” We finished up eating and said our goodbyes before heading up to Liberty Boro.
“Your little cousins are so cute.
“Wait till you see Nicky. And I had no idea they knew who you were!”
“It’s ok. I want to send them a real autograph, though, from the whole band.”
“Aww how sweet. Christmas is coming.”
“Not a bad idea.” we soon arrived at my Uncle’s house. I walked up and rang the doorbell. Nicky answered the door, he was eight now.
“Hi Nicky. Do you remember your cousin Alyssa?”
“Nick, who is it?” My Aunt Darla replied.
“Alyssa.” she appeared at the door.
“Oh hi Lys. How are you?” she said.” Come on in.” Brendon and I walked into the house
“I’m well and you?” I hugged her.
“Good. How’s everything?”
“Good, I’m just home for the weekend and thought I’d stopped by. Aunt Darla this is my boyfriend Brendon, Brendon my Aunt Darla.”
“Nice to meet you.” they shook hands.
“How’s school Nicky?”
“Good.”
“That’s awesome, what’s your favorite subject.”
“Recess.”
“Still?” I laughed
“Want to play with my wrestlers.”
“Sure, for a bit. Can I be Randy Orton?”
“Yea.” We played a few smack down matches.
“Would you like something to drink?”
“Sure, thank you.”
“Brendon? We have ice tea, lemonade, pepsi…”
“I’ll have an ice tea please”
“I’m fine thank you.”
“Aunt Darla. I just got a new job with Sony and start on Monday.”
“That’s great Lys. Good for you.” We talked a little more and then we left to go visit my other grandma. I rang the doorbell a bazillion times - that’s how I ring the doorbell so she knows its me.
“Hi Lys.”
“Hey gram, how are you?” she let us in. I gave her a hug and a kiss.
“I’m good and you?’
“Well, this is my boyfriend Brendon Urie.”
“Nice to meet you.” he shook her.
“Your mom is coming over soon to do some laundry.”
“You want me to throw a load in now.”
“Sure if you want.” and I did. We ended up talking until mommy arrived.
“You two were up early this morning?” Mom said as she hugged me.
“Yea well we’ve already visited Gram, Pap, Uncle Rossie, the trips, Aunt Darla and Nicky.”
“Wow.”
“Yea your cousins are so adorable.”
“You haven’t seen my grandchildren.” Grammy went to get pictures of Cydney and Cody. “Cyd is 8 and Cody is 10.” wow were has the time gone? I remember when they were born. I use to change their diapers! Well the pee ones but I did change some poopy ones, but only if it was necessary.
“She is adorable!” he commented on Neenie’s picture. That girl has so many names: Cydney, Neenie, Peach, Neenie-pie.
“Do you want to meet for dinner around 4?” my mom asked.
“That’s fine.”
“Where?”
“Where do you think?” I asked back. I always go to the same place every time I come home.
“Mama’s”
“Yep, Gram you coming too?”
“I guess.” she replied.
“Great! We’ll see you at 4.” I kissed everyone goodbye and left with Brendon in tow. “Mall or Waterfront?” I asked him as we sat in the driveway.
“Waterfront sounds more exciting.” Fine with me. We headed toward Duquesne and I passed my old work.
“That’s Kennywood - my old work.” I pointed to the amusement park on the right side.
“You worked there?” he questioned me.
“Yep. In the gyro stand.”
“Is that why you hate them?” how’d he know that? But I just nodded. We pulled into the entrance about 10mins later.

“I love Pittsburgh at night. Can we take a drive through the city before heading home?” I asked him.
“Sure.” He held my hand we walked off to find our luggage and pick up our rental car. In no time we were in Pittsburgh.
“Isn’t it magnificent?”
“Yes, but I’m hungry. Where can we eat?”
“Some place in the Strip or wait South Side would be better.” he raised his eyebrow.
“Want me to drive?”
“Sure. At the next red light we switched places and headed toward Station Square and South Side. We pulled up along a favorite club of mine.
“You’ll like this.” He took my hand as we walked into the bar. I looked around to see some familiar faces and one stood out. It was my ex-boyfriend. Shit! Why did he have to come here? And notice me? Dammit!
“Alyssa?” he asked me.
“Jordan!” I hugged him.
“What brings you here?”
“Spur of the moment.” I laughed. “ Jordan this is my boyfriend Brendon. Brendon this is my friend Jordan.”
“Nice to meet you.” Brendon shook his hand.
“Same.” then another face popped up behind him.
“Neen!” screamed and hugged her.
“Omg Lyssa! How have you been?”
“Great and you?”
“Not bad.”
“You have to meet my new boyfriend!”
“Brendon, this is Dineen. Neen, my boyfriend Brendon.”
“Lys you didn’t tell me you were dating the lead singer of Panic! At The Disco!” The club grew silent. “Can I have your autograph?”
“Sure.” and then a lined formed behind her.
“I’ll go get us something to eat sweetie, what would you like?”
“A salad.” he said and sat down beginning to sign autographs. I ordered two salads, one with crispy chicken the other plain. I hope he likes ranch dressing. I brought us back the salads along with some lemonade.
“Let me help you.” it was Jordan.
“Thanks but I got it.” he smiled at me. I set the stuff down at the table to see that the line grew longer.
“I’m sorry sweetie.”
“It’s not your fault.” he reached across the table and held my hand as we ate. “This is very good.”
“Indeed.” Soon we finished eating, and soon as Brendon finished his autographs we were leaving. I said goodbye to Neen and Jordan.
“That was a fun night.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.”
“I did, but let’s go home.” We arrived at my house around 1 in the morning. I saw that mom was still up but my dad fell asleep in the chair.
“Hey mom.” I hugged her.
“I thought you were going to call. So I was waiting to pick you up at the airport.”
“Sorry mom, Brendon and I, rented a car.” I motioned for him to come forward. “This is my boyfriend, Brendon Urie, the lead singer of Panic! At The Disco.”
“Pleasure to meet you.”
“Same here.”
“Where is he going to sleep?”
“In my bed. I’ll sleep out here.”
“I could-” but I hushed him.
“You smell like smoke.”
“We went to a bar in South Side to grab a bite to eat. Guess who I saw there?”
“Who?” she asked.
“Dineen and Jordan. I don’t think they are dating because a bunch other people were with them.”
“That’d make an interesting pair.” I nodded. “Well I’m off to bed. See you two in the morning.” she woke my dad up and headed to bed. I showed Brendon to my room. It looked exactly the same how I left it.
“I can sleep on the couch you know.”
“I know. But you’re a guest. Besides I wanted to watch a movie.”
“Which one?”
“Elizabethtown - actually I was going to fall asleep to it. “ I kissed him goodnight. But we ended up making out and not going to bed till 2:30. I put the movie on and didn’t even make it past the bicycle of death in the beginning. I was pooped. I woke to the sound of the garage door. I looked at my phone. It was 7:43. Dad was heading off to work. Now that he’s gone I slid into my own bed with Brendon. He didn’t stir and that really didn’t surprise me. I fell back to sleep till about 9 -o-clock then I woke him up.
“We’ve got grandparents and relatives to visit.”
“What?”
“I miss my grandparents and cousins.” I jumped in the shower and changed clothes before waking my mom. Brendon just changed his clothes and we were off to my grandma Kay’s.
“You hungry?” he nodded.
“She’ll have some pancakes and bacon, possible sausage just to warn you.”
“It’s ok. I’m used to not eating the meat.” I passed the house and pulled into a parking space behind my Aunt Rosie’s car.
“You’ll get to meet my godmother.” I took his hand and locked the door.
“You don’t knock?” he asked as I opened the front door.
“No, I don’t do it at my best friend’s Holly’s house either.” We walked into the bedroom past the living room and down the stairs.
“Lys! What are you doing home?” my grandfather greeted.
“Hey pap, I’m here for the weekend.” I gave him a hug.
“Lyssa, you home?” my gram said coming from the cool cellar.
“For the weekend Grammy.” I gave her a hug and kiss, too. “And I would you to meet my boyfriend.”
“I’ll give you boyfriend!” she smacked my but.
“Gram, pap, this is Brendon Urie, my boyfriend.”
“Nice to meet you my boy. What do you do for a living?” I took a seat by the frig, like I normally do and Brendon sat across from me.
“I’m in a band, sir.”
“A band? What kind of job is that?”
“Pappy. His band is famous. He won a grammy.”
“A grammy, wow.” gram commented. “Would you like some breakfast?”
“Yes, please.”
“What do you want?” I have French toast bacon, sausage you don’t like sausage?”
“French toast and bacon please.”
“And for you?”
“I’ll just have some French toast, please.”
“No sausage?” he shook his head no.
“He’s doesn’t eat meat.”
“Wow.” pap commented. “Lys you look good.”
“Thank you.”
“Lost a lot of weight.” he continued.
“Dad! Leave her alone will you.” Then we heard footsteps coming down the stairs. It was the triplets. And my uncle.
“Bonehead!” he exclaimed and look toward Brendon. “Bring your boyfriend home?”

Sunflowers - Chapter 9

"Things are shaping up to be pretty odd." - That Green Gentlemen. So far I LOVE the new album. It's amazing. So different from the first. I actually found a video on mtv.com that has the whole interview of the guys explaining what each song means...of course i'll share it with you!!!

Now on to my story!!!
***
“A Pittsburgh saying known as Pittsburghese.” I laughed again. “It means you all. Kinda like ya’ll but it’s yinz.”
“Oh ok, that’s interesting. What else you got?” I just shook my head no.
“You’ll just have to come back home with me.”
“Sounds like a plan. This weekend?”
“Well, if you want to I just have to be back on Sunday. I start my new job on Monday.”
“What new job?” peeped Ryan from the back.
“I’m working at Sony advertising their products.”
“Sweet.” he commented.
“She’s working for my Uncle, ironically.”
“Very ironic.”
“We’ll leave this afternoon and you can take me out to one of your favorite restaurants back home.”
“Sure, sounds fine. Who’s going to buy the tickets?”
“I’ll do it.” he said. “I did suggest it.”
“If you don’t know mind, I really don’t have the money to travel back home just yet. I do miss everyone terribly.”
“Don’t worry about it.” he leaned over and kissed me while we were at a red light.
“Thank you.” I need to pay him back somehow. In a few minutes we arrived home. Thank god the door was unlocked because I didn’t have my keys. I looked at the shoes on the floor, Kay must be at the studio. “Please make yourself at home.”
“Where’s Amanda’s room?”
“Upstairs and to the right. It has our names on the door. We’re the A’s vs. the K’s.” I laughed. And he bounded for the stairs. “Ryan! Shoes.” he ran back down and kicked them off before taking the steps two at a time. “I can make you breakfast. If you like?”
“Can you make an omelet?”
“No, but I’d love to learn.” I smiled and so did he. He got the picture. 15 minutes later Brendon was teaching me how to make an omelet and so far he did all the work.
“Hey Brendon why don’t we leave as soon as we can because of the time difference.” I said out of the blue. I do that a lot.
“How much difference?”
“3 hours.”
“3 hours?! Where are we going to the other side of the globe?”
“Try continent sweets.”
“Shit, well ok, can you look up the flights while I finish please?” I hopped off the counter and ran up the stairs to my room. I noticed that Amanda and Ryan were making out in her bed. I just grabbed my laptop and brought into the kitchen.
“Gotta love wireless.” he nodded and flipped the eggs.
“Find anything?”
“Yea, some cheap ones. Are you sure you want to do it?” I took a breath. “It’ll be 600 for both of us.”
“Yes I’m positive.” he flipped it again and turned to me. “Alyssa Leigh, even though I barely know you. I feel like I know you. And yet I want to know every little detail about you.”
“Brendon I feel the same way!” We kissed.
“Now book those tickets!” I laughed and let him browse through to make sure we got a good deal. Our plane was leaving at 2 and it’s 11 now! I better take a shower and pack.
“Hey I need to take a shower.”
“Can I join you?”
“Brendon!” I slapped his arm. Even though it would be nice.
“What?” he gave me an innocent look. “It’ll conserve water!” he has a point. Maybe later! I smirked at him and walked up the stairs to my room. Ryan and Amanda were still making out when I returned from my shower. I packed my suitcase and met Brendon downstairs 45mins later. “Hey I thought you drowned. I was going to rescue you.”
“Very funny.” I kissed him. “Amanda and Ryan are in a deep game of tonsil hockey. I’m going to leave everyone a note.”
“I’m going to break them up!”
“Not so fast mister!” I pulled his arm. “We need to go.” I got on my computer and emailed everyone a note of where I was going to be this weekend. I packed it up and we headed back to his house. On the way I called Sis to tell her about her date with Spencer. She was excited. It wasn’t until 1:00 till we reached the airport. And your suppose to be there at least 2hrs early. Thankfully it wasn’t that busy and we got through easily. We loaded our luggage on the cart and boarded the plane.
“I can’t believe we are doing this.” I turned to Brendon.
“Me either.”
“Shit!”
“What?”
“I forgot to call my parents.”
“Well hurry up and call.” I retrieved my phone.
“Mom? Hey I’m coming home for the weekend, be in later tonight. Love you bye.”
“That was fast.”
“We’re nearing the runway.” I looked out the window, pass Brendon’s head. “Hold my hand please.” he did and we were in the air. About 5 hours later we were landing in Pittsburgh.

Who would have thought he would take Lys all the way to Pittsburgh!?!?! Pretty great guy!!! Well I hope everyone has a Happy Easter and a great break!!! Talk next week!!!

She's a Handsome Woman

The day is finally here! But before we talk Panic! I wanted to wish my best friend a Happy 19th Birthday!!! I love you Amanda!!! That said...today is the day that mtv.com leaks - yes leaks - Panic At The Disco's Pretty. Odd. album!!! Before we get to that i have the last day of the 8 days of Panic for your enjoyment.

Now onto the songs!!! I'm going to listen and put my opinion about the songs.

1. We're So Starving - It's a very lite hearted song. Kinda catchy as well
2. Nine In The Afternoon - Amazing song. I love the trumpet throughout the chorus.
3. She's A Handsome Woman - I love the chorus of the song. "Go on grab your hat and fetch a camera. Go on film the world before it happens." I think that just fits my lifestyle because I always have my camera handy.
4. Do You Know What I am See? - It's about the weather, lol i remember in the interview they talked writing this songs in Ryan's backyard with their shirts off. I'll never forget as long as I listen to the song.
5. That Green Gentlemen - It has a Beatles-esque to it. It also has Ryan singing on the chorus along with Brendon.
6. I Have Friends In Holy Spaces - I feel like I'm in a jazz club in New Orleans. It has a banjo and heavy trumpet and saxophone parts.
7. Northern Downpour - I feel like I'm listening to the Beatles again. It's ok because i love the Beatles.
8. When the Day Met the Night - I love this song!!! It's the most romantic song on the album!!! Def one of my faves! Yet again, it has a trumpet in the chorus.
9. Pas De Cheval - Up beat and very up tempo. It's a little cocky. It's like saying that the greatest thing hasn't happened until you meet 'me'. I'm just taking it for face value now i'll have listen to it for a cpl to actually get the real meaning
10. The Piano Knows Something That I Don't - It starts out very slow and kinda eerie feeling but then picks up. It talks about ballet which is a plus in my book. Its kinda like a Vegas show or something.
11. Behind The Sea - Ryan sings mostly sings the lead vocals. It's a very mellow song.
12. Folkin' Around - Panic gone country. All you can say about this song
13. She Had the World - Ryan and Brendon both sing parts in this song. I actually really like this song. It's very melodically.
14. From A Mountain In The Middle Of The Cabins - Sounds like a carnival song. The chorus songs like something the Beatles would sing! "If you're going then go, go, go!" It's cute!
15. Mad As Rabbits - I've been waiting for this song!!! Brendon starts off singing then Ryan sings and they go back and forth. I know Jon does back up vocals as well. Not sure about Spence. Still has that Beatles feel.

I love the album!!! It is very different from the first one but a good different. I'm sure how other people will react to it. A lot fans loved the beats you could dance to and stuff to that nature. This album has more grown up feel to it. People will definitely be blown away by it.

Hope you like my review and they you will head over to mtv to check out the songs and hopefully buy the album next week when it hit stores everywhere!!! Talk to you know thursday! Have a Panic Day!!!

Sunflowers - Chapter 8

Hey everyone! Hope everyone's been watching the Panic interviews! They have been very funny! Like laying in Ryan's backyard with no shirts on and writing a song about the weather! Ha ha! It's great! Well here's the next installment of my story! I love the part in the kitchen! It's one of my favs in the whole story! Enjoy!
***
“Hello?” he answered the phone groggily.
“Hi hun, did I wake you?” I asked him.
“No, just watching some TV.”
“Oh thank God.”
“Why?”
“Well…”he didn’t know about Kristan and her job so I don’t know if I should tell him yet. “Just had a bad feeling that’s all.”
“Oh ok. You home?”
“Nope, I haven’t left the theater yet.”
“Well why don’t you go and call me when you get there!” I told him goodbye and hopped into the car with Amanda and Kayla.
“I’m so happy that you got that job!”
“Me too. Does it require you to travel?” asked Kay
“I don’t see why not.” I replied. “We’ll find out on Monday.” We drove the rest of the home singing to Panic! At The Disco songs. Once home I changed into my pjs and called Brendon.
“Hey. I’m home now.”
“I miss you.”
“I miss you too.”
“Wanna come over?”
“Brendon it’s 12:30 at night.”
“I know. Please. I’m lonely.”
“Don’t you live with guys?”
“Yes but -”
“Go crawl in bed with Ryan then.” I giggled.
“I see how it is. You rather see me cuddle with Ryan so you can take Amanda for yourself. I get you now.” I laughed even harder! “Please come over.”
“I’m in my pjs.”
“So what I’m in mine too.”
“If you want to see me so bad then why don’t you come over here.”
“Fine I will!” he hung up the phone like a two year old. But he can’t come here! I share a room with Amanda. I guess I could wait for him down stairs. So that’s were I headed. With my tinkerbell blanket dragging behind me I made my way down the stairs. I curled up on the couch and must of fell asleep because the next thing I remember was Amanda yelling at me and Brendon scooping me up in his arms. I flung my arms around his neck. And fell back to sleep. When I woke up, I wasn’t in my bedroom nor house. Brendon picked me up and brought me back to his place. That dirty rotten scoundrel! I rolled over to see him soundly sleeping. He looked so peaceful; almost like an angel. I snuggled closer to him, feeling the warmth of his bare chest next to mine. I fit perfectly. I hoped I wouldn’t wake him but he stirred.
“Good morning.” he whispered.
“Good morning.” I whispered back. I felt like this is where I could spend the rest of my life. Away from harm with Brendon protecting me. It just felt so right at this moment.
“Want some breakfast?” he asked starting to get up. But I pulled him back down and kissed him passionately on the lips.
“You are my breakfast.” he smiled in the kiss and flipped me over so I was underneath him. We made out for a good 20 minutes before our stomachs growled.
“Just a bowl of cereal is fine for me.”
“All right. I’m craving an omelet.”
“You make one yourself one.” We kissed and made our way down stairs. I gasped when I saw Spencer sitting at the counter in his boxers eating a bowl of cereal and reading the paper. Ryan was in his boxers too but drinking milk out of the carton standing in the refrigerator door. And Jon well yea he was in his boxers as well but making some waffles. I turned to Brendon and realized he too was in boxers. I was in shorts and a t-shirt. I’d win the most clothes on in the room award.
“You didn’t tell us we had company.” Spence said.
“Sorry. It was a last minute sort of thing.” I apologized.
“No it’s not your fault.” Spencer darted his eyes to Brendon.
“I don’t want to be the start of a fight so if you could take me home please.”
“Sure. Let me put some clothes on.” I laughed and waited in the kitchen folding my arms over my chest.
“Do you think Amanda is up?” Ryan asked.
“It’s what 9 in the morning?” he nodded. “I don’t think so.”
“Good I’m going with you guys.” he rushed to get ready.
“Ready to go?” I shook my head no. “Why?”
“Ryan is coming with us.” he cocked his eyebrow and Ryan returned.
“Dude why are you coming with us?”
“To wake Amanda up.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“Goodbye Spencer.” I hugged him then I realized I needed to ask him about Sis. “Oh wait would you be interesting in going on a date with one of my really good friends?”
“Lys, thanks but you don’t have to feel sorry for me.”
“It’s not just that, she is interested in you when I explained her what a gentlemen you are and, oh yea the fact that you play drums because she is a drummer herself.”
“Ask her if tonight’s ok. I’ll pick her up at your house.”
“Great! Thanks so much. This means the world to me!” I kissed him on the cheek. He whispered something but I didn’t catch it. “What was that?”
“Nothing.” he smiled. “By the way, what is her name?”
“Sis. Oh it’s Alexi. But just call her Lexi.”
“Why do you call her sis?” Jon asked me. Then I had to tell him the story about how we were in high school drum line and I dubbed her my younger sister to protect her.
“See yinz later!” And I got out of there. Took me 20mins but I did.
“Can I ask a question?” Brendon looked at me seriously. I nodded. “What’s ‘yinz‘?” I giggled.
***
Hmm...any pittsburghers should know what yinz is!!! Ha ha it's a great word! But that's all from me!!! Hope you guys have a safe weekend! I know St. Patty's day is just around the corner so be safe!!! Thanks for reading!!!

Behind the Sea

Hey hey hope everyone had a great weekend! I've seemed to have caught a cold so hopefully it clears up by the end of the week...which is the Relient K concert! Woot! But enough about me...let's talk Panic! Panic is leaking their album on Mtv.com for one day. March 18th and to celebrate mtv is counting down the days.

There's the first batch of the exclusive videos that will be available to watch on buzzworthy.mtv.com. Each day two more videos will be released all the way up until March 18th!!!

Also I added another song to my profile. It is 'Behind the Sea'. It's the alternative version meaning that this one will not appear on the album. The lead singer on this song is not Brendon but Ryan Ross! And I absolutely love it! Someone needs to smack him because he said that he couldn't sing. Well I'll let you be the judge. Let me know what you thing of Ryro.

Something funny happened the other day. A ringtone website leaked it's Panic ringtone's to the public over the weekend. Now they fixed the problem, you can no longer buy them but still listen to them. How weird is that? So I saved them off the computer and onto my own. It's basically Pretty. Odd. in two minutes. Lol. But the songs are completely different than their first album. One weak till the Leak!!! You can bet I'll be listening to it ALL day long. Well that's it from me. Don't forget to check out Panic's interviews!!! Talk to ya on Thursday!!!

Sunflowers - Chapter 7

Happy Thursday! I just got back from the Really Really Ridiculously Good Tour staring Cobra Starship, Metro Station, WE the Kings and The Cab. It was an AMAZING! show. I took Amanda to see it for herb-day and Gabe wished her a Happy Birthday on stage, so did Alex. It was incredible!!! I can't wait until warped tour to see them again! And I also met a guy from Metro Station, Travis (eeekkk) and Drew(?) from WE the Kings and finally Gabe, again! I handed him the DVD I made him and it was all good. Enough of me rambling onward to the story!!! Hope you enjoy it!!!
***
“I’m sorry but Brendon asked me this afternoon.”
“You said yes?”
“Yes I did.”
“But I thought we had a good time?”
“We did! I had a wonderful time with you.”
“Then why him?”
“He asked me first.” that was the only thing that came to mind. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. It’s my fault. It should have asked you last night after the date.” Great! I’m glad that he didn’t I don’t think I could have said no, then.
“It’s ok.” I hugged him. I felt bad. Then Brendon came around the corner.
“What’s going on?” Spencer broke away and turned to Brendon.
“Take care of her.” He patted Brendon on the back before rounding the corner and heading into the building. I just broke down and cried. I never was in this predicament. But Brendon just hugged and comforted me. I think I made the right choice. Picking the boyfriend, I mean.
“Come on, let’s go.” he held me as we walked into the building. The boys went inside the radio room while we listened outside. The interview was going well until some fan called in and asked about girlfriends.
“Well I have girlfriend.” Jon braved it first.
“Yes, my girlfriend is wonderful. She’s smart, sweet, caring, and funny.” Aww! Brendon I really like you!
“As do I! My girlfriend is really talented.”
“That sounds like most of you can handle a relationship on the road.”
“Well we haven’t tested that out yet.” spoke Spencer.
“0h?” the talk show host questioned.
“We’ve all recently have girlfriends with our time off so it will be interesting to see how things will work out once we’re back on the road.” Spence finished.
“So you will be touring again.”
“Most definitely.” Ryan answered. Phew! Glad we got past that subject. After that they finished up the interview and came out.
“You did awesome!” I told Brendon. And gave him a kiss. The talk show host came out behind him.
“So is this your lovely lady?”
“Yes,“ Brendon replied. He slipped a hand around my waist. “This is Alyssa.”
“Nice to meet you.” I shook his hand.
“Nice to meet you too, she is sweet.”
“Thank you.” We kissed and a flash of the camera went off.
“Your welcome it’s so nice for you to come and support him.” I blushed. The band posed for a couple more pictures so that he radio station could post them on their website. It’s pretty sweet. Being a rockstar’s girlfriend.
“Bye Sweetie.” I kissed him. “I’ll call you when I get home.”
“Enjoy your movie.” he replied. Amanda said goodbye to Ryan as did Kayla to Jon. We then all piled into my trailblazer. Soon we arrived at the restaurant. Holly, Kristan, Jessie, Colleen, and Lexi, who I call sis, were already there. Ever since we all parted ways we agreed to meet at least once a week to catch up on everything. So far it’s working!
“Hey guys I have big news!” I told them as I sat down at the table.
“Then I have news.” Jessie stated. “but you first.”
“Thank you. I got the job with Sony company and I start on Mon!”
“That’s awesome! Congrats!” Sis told me.
“And…”I continued. “I have a boyfriend.”
“Who?” asked Colleen.
“Brendon Urie.”
“And I’m dating Ryan Ross!”
“I’m dating Jon Walker!”
“Wow. A lot people are getting boyfriends.”
“I think we all have one now.”
“Not I!” exclaimed Sis. Poor her! Maybe we can hook her up with Spencer!
“Sis, you want to date a drummer?”
“Sure.”
“Then I got to the perfect guy for you! He’s a gentlemen and a sweet guy!”
“Who?”
“Spencer Smith.”
“Of Panic! At The Disco?!” I nodded. “I’d love to date him!”
“I’ll call him to tomorrow.” She thanked and hugged me.
“Jess, what’s your news?” Kristan asked. She showed us her hand. There on her ring finger was an engagement ring.
“Sean asked me to marry him!”
“Congrats!” We all ran over to hug her!
“Don’t kill me!” I laughed and everyone returned to her seats and started to bombard her with questions. “I don’t know when the wedding is, probably June or July. No I’m not pregnant. No I haven’t picked out the bridesmaids. I don’t know the colors of anything or where anything will be yet. He just asked me yesterday.”
“We’re really excited to have a marriage happening!” squealed Lexi
“Yes most definitely!” agreed Amanda.
“Let’s celebrate and go out to a club tonight after the movie.” Suggested Holly.
“Why not?” I stated! I just have a date with Brendon tomorrow night.
“Well see.” Came from Kristan. She never knows if she is going to be getting a call from the office or not. Then we all order, chit-chatted and went to the movie. Halfway through Kristan got the call to head into work. It was a dead body…it wasn’t going anywhere so she just decided to finish out the movie then go. It was near the theater anyway. Oh great! A murder or something in our neighborhood. I hope it wasn’t Brendon! As soon as we got out of the theater, after saying goodbye to my friends, I called him.
***
There ya go!!! hope you liked it!!! Have a safe and happy weekend! Talk to you on Tues! Kisses!
